Meet the Captain
Captain Mike Howard is the owner, a USCG Credentialed Charter Captain, 2023 Walleye Nation Creations pro-staff angler and 29yr Army Veteran who resides in Henderson, NY. He is an active member of the Henderson Harbor Guides Association and was recently appointed as a 5yr charter member of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Lake Ontario Fisheries Advisory Panel.
Mike has a keen interest in merging angler perspective and science to sustain the fisheries resources. Growing up in Western NY fishing Lake Erie Walleye and developed a love for Salmon/Steelhead fishing while serving on the West Coast. Since Army retirement he pursued his dream to become a full-time professional Captain here in the Eastern Basin. He has developed integral relationships with fellow Captain's, Guides and local anglers to providing unique perspectives and opportunity for his anglers.
Mike is married to Heather Howard for the past 32yrs and they have raised two adult children who reside here in the North Country along with their 3 grandchildren.
