Meet the Captain
Captain Mike Howard is the owner, a USCG Credentialed Maritime Captain, 2025 Walleye Nation Creations pro-staff angler and 29yr Army Veteran who resides in Henderson, NY. He is an active member of the Henderson Harbor Guides Association and is currently appointed as a 5yr charter member of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Lake Ontario Fisheries Advisory Panel.
Growing up in Western NY, Lake Erie Walleye were the focus. The Captain developed a passion for Salmon / Steelhead fishing while serving on the West Coast in the 1990's. Later in life, between deployments here at Fort Drum, he found peace fishing Lake Ontario's open water since 2005. Upon Army retirement he pursued his dream to become a full-time professional Captain on Lake Ontario's Eastern Basin. He has developed integral relationships with fellow Captain's, Guides, and local anglers to provide unique perspectives and opportunity for his anglers.
Mike is married to Heather Howard for the past 34yrs and they have raised two adult children who reside here in the North Country along with their 4 grandchildren.
